A gorgeous pale salmon/onion skin colour. Summer fruits and orange zest aromas greet the nose, with subtle hints of wild herbs and flowers. The palate is crammed full of wild strawberry, canteloupe melon and redcurrant flavours, with a zesty/citrussy /herby tang and a touch of saline minerality. The texture is soft, almost creamy, but offset by plenty of juicy soft citrus acidity, with just a hint of grape tannin, a touch of peppery spice and a persistent finish. Of course, it isn't massively complex (that isn't the job of a rosé) but it is far from simple, and is more than a match for many an expensive Provence rosé. Certified organic and biodynamic. Serve with seasonal salads, grilled white or red meats, salmon, goat cheese, or as an aperitif. |
