Limpid, pale/medium gold colour. Aromas of greengage, dessert apple, mixed citrus and a healthy sprinkling of garrigue herbs, with hints of tropical fruits and freshly-baked brioche. The palate is wonderfully refreshing and zingy, without being overly zesty. And - as always, with Grenache Gris - the dominant flavours are on the herby, minerally, "winey" end of the spectrum, though this one also exhibits plenty of white tree fruit, soft citrus flavours, and a cool mintiness, which makes it dangerously drinkable. |
